Here's Matt in action trying to catch out all of the fish from this aquarium.
We completed a full clean and replaced all of the substrate for nice new black gloss gravel.
In total there was 50 red platies, 6 neon tetra, 4 bristlenose plecs, 2 bronze corys, 3 clown loach and 2 penguin tetra.
Live bearers such as platies make great additions to community aquariums, however they are prolific breeders and their numbers can explode in a short space of time. The easiest way to manage their numbers is to rehome some to keep the numbers down. Alternatively Live bearers are easy to sex, so going for males only will prevent this problem.
