We are specialists in ponds, natural swimming pools, water features and landscape gardening.

Our office and aquatic showcase are situated as a concession inside Squire’s Garden Centre, Farnham, Surrey. We are open to the public Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, so please pop in to see us!

Our team and associates include in-house designer, surveyors, outdoor electricians, water gardening specialists, landscape gardeners, tree surgeons, bricklayers and carpenters. We also have an Environmental Agency licence to carry green waste.

You can have peace of mind that all elements will be professionally managed and that as a team we will provide total client satisfaction.

We cover Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, London, Middlesex & Sussex, and also look after all Squire’s garden centre locations.

Meet the team

Matt Broadley
Matt Broadley
Managing Director

Matt Broadley has over 25 years’ aquatics experience. With a passion for angling since he was nine years old, he decided to dedicate his career to aquatics, something he has absolutely loved doing.

Matt’s career started at a fish farm, he then went on to study at Sparsholt College and subsequently worked at Aquatics Centres across Surrey, before deciding to take the leap and start his own business.

His motivation was to create a highly knowledgeable aquatics company, delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service to enable all clients to enjoy their hobby with ease.

After years of hard work and with loyal clients for over 20 years, he is proud to have seen the business flourish and expand into a Limited Company.

Matt dedicates himself to ensuring every Broadley Aquatics customer receives high quality pond and aquarium services, before, during and after each project.

Anna Broadley

Director

With a past career in accountancy Anna has been successfully managing the office at Broadley Aquatics for the last few years.

She thoroughly enjoys sharing the responsibility of the business with her husband Matt, and when she’s not busy working, she is caring for their children.

Anna also has a passion for fitness and nutrition. She enjoys cycling, family dog walks and in her spare time going to the gym.

Darren
Darren
Site Manager

Darren started working in the garden centre industry after leaving college. Here he picked up lots of experience and knowledge in all things to do with gardening. Darren went on to work for almost 12 years in this industry at a managerial level.

Following the the closing down of the garden centre in which he worked, Darren joined the award-winning pets and aquatics team at Squires garden centre Badshot Lea.

Here he really developed a passion in fish keeping of all kinds. Darren then went on to work in the aquatics retail industry for 8 years at various different stores and at management level, before taking on his role with Broadley Aquatics.

Darren is passionate about keeping all kinds of fish and has kept fish personally at home for about 10 years from pond fish to freshwater and marine aquariums.

Dave

Aquatics Supervisor

Dave studied fishery management and aquaculture at degree level and since then had worked as a landscape gardener with over 10 years of experience. Starting with hard landscaping which has developed into specialising in aquatic construction work.

Dave has a keen eye for perfection no matter what job or project he is put on, enjoying nothing more than giving our customers what they want from start to finish.

A keen fisherman in his spare time which goes hand in hand working for Broadley Aquatics.

Rob
Rob
Senior Landscaper

Having worked in the landscaping industry for the last 25 years, Rob is an avid horticulturist with a vast knowledge of plant & tree species, diseases, growth patterns and environmental factors.

During his career, Rob has gained a wealth of experience within both hard and soft landscaping, with highlights including performing entire garden makeovers and managing Chinese gardens.

His hobbies include playing squash, cycling and motorbiking and he enjoys spending days out with his family.

Builder

Cody has over 30 years’ experience working within the commercial building trade. Since moving across to work with Broadley Aquatics in 2022, he really enjoys using his expertise in a more natural manner, across the outdoor environment.

When he’s not working (which isn’t much!), he loves spending time with his grandchildren and his 4 dogs. He also likes keeping fit in the gym.

Junior Landscaper

Charlie begun his landscaping career in April 2021, working primarily in soft landscaping. And now, working with Broadley Aquatics, he’s pleased to be able to work in other areas too, including hard landscaping and construction.

He particularly likes the experience and variation that comes with the role, as well as gaining the Aquatic knowledge to expand his skill set. Being part of a team and seeing the end result with a happy customer, gives him real job satisfaction.

In his spare time, he enjoys watching and playing football, skiing in the winter and has been playing the drums from the age of 8.

Junior Builder / Plumber

Ryan is a qualified plumbing & heating engineer and before joining Broadley Aquatics spent 6 years working in the building industry. During this time he gained experience in not only plumbing but also brickwork, paving, fencing, landscaping, carpentry & electrics. He is now enjoying putting these skills to use in his current role with us, and learning all about aquatics – he’s happy he made the decision to change career path.

In his spare time he enjoys music, going to concerts, enjoys football - supports Arsenal and going to his local pub.

Jo has been working in office admin since 2010 and as is the nature of the role, can turn her mind to almost anything. In her current role with Broadley Aquatics, she particularly enjoys the variety and that every day is different.

Outside of work she likes to travel, spend time with friends and family and enjoy her cat's antics.

Kay joined the Broadley Aquatics team with a wealth of experience in office admin support. She really enjoys her role – supporting the team, understanding the scope of projects they work on, and most importantly helping the clients.

Outside work, she loves going to the theatre, walking her dog and tending to her garden.

Creative Designer

Sarah has been working at Broadley Aquatics since 2021, designing and visualising projects for clients and looking after the marketing and advertising.

Sarah’s past career spans design and marketing, and she enjoys how her position at Broadley Aquatics allows her to work within both fields.

Outside of work Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, and finding the odd spare moment to be creative.
